Trimble Controller modifying my R2 bluetooth settings

hey everyone, hopefully someone can help me. We often use a Trimble R2 antenna and sometimes we connect it to a Trimble controller and sometimes to a third party app. When doing this switching, the output gets replaced and it does not longer publish NMEA packets like we wish. Is there a way to change this back to NMEA by bluetooth? I've seen that you can only do this via WiFi in the WebUI, but this is not very helpful because the webui is not mobile friendly and its not possible to set this by the field workers from their phone.

    What alternatives do i have?

Ideally it would be to have an app to set this back to NMEA or otherwise something to understand the default packages sent by whatever the controller defaults the antenna. Any help is very much appreciate it

    Thanks in advanced

According to page 38 of the R2 User Guide, you can reset the R2 to factory  settings by pressing the power button for 15 seconds, until the LED changes to a slow yellow flash - I'd expect that to reset the NMEA output, but I don't have one available to try.  Have you tried that method?  Be aware that doing a factory reset might clear Bluetooth pairing as well.

(EDIT:  Nope, a 15-second reset to defaults won't work.  Page 38 of the manual says that NMEA defaults to OFF on all ports in the default settings.)

(Second edit:  I found an R2 and tried the Factory Reset (press and hold the power button until you see an orange flash, took about 18 seconds for me.)  On my receiver, doing the factory reset DOES reset the R2 so it gives NMEA on Bluetooth 1.  So there's a strong possibility that the User Guide is wrong, and a Factory Reset will allow you to use NMEA-based software.

    Hi Gaston,

On the R2 when you connect to it with an app that talks to it directly, like TMM for example, it results in the NMEA output being disabled as you have noticed. The best way to handle this is to create a "START_UP" receiver config. That way, a receiver restart automatically applies the required settings.

    Best regards,
