Trimble r1 going "discoball"

  • 1.  Trimble r1 going "discoball"

    Our Trimble r1 have gone all discoball - all lights blinking. Have tried to hold the powebutton down - does not help. Tried to empty battery - does not help. Tried to reload/upgrade firmware - get "failed to obtain device configuration". Is there anything else I could do or is it hereby declared dead?

    You've done all the steps which I would have tried, if those have not changed the behaviour of the device then it's almost certainly not recoverable.  I guess the flash memory has failed, but since the components on the circuit board are not replaceable, economically it's not worth trying to isolate the fault.
