I was wondering if anyone had experience with a couple TSC7 issues we've been having with mostly newer data collectors. First problem is that the remote assist feature will not work through WM no matter what I try. I've uninstalled/re-installed remote assist and even wiped the device from WM with no success. Second problem, my company uses AT&T SIM cards and every now and then, we get a new out of the box TSC7 that seems to not have the auto APN configurations installed and using our provided APN does nothing as well. I have updated drivers for the modem/network adapters (all are the Sierra Wireless EM7455B Qualcomm Snapdragon X7 LTE-A) and performed a few basic troubleshooting steps provided in a document, but still only "No Service" while registering it as an AT&T SIM card. Seems to be a hit or miss on which new ones will have this problem and some get resolved with driver/Windows updates.
Update on the SIM card issue:
The fix I have found, is to download the "Skylight" application from the Sierra Wireless site, select the first profile (called MBIMModem.......) then in that profiles settings, input the APN (ours is unique not the usual "broadband"), apply, and then input that same APN into the Windows side. Once they match, all is well. Not sure why some don't auto-configure like the others, my guess is some weird Windows compatibility with a select few Sierra Wireless EM7455 modems, but having a solution is good enough for me.
