It would be good if Trimble connect used the software set units and if no unites were specified then the the default should be meters. Or even better , during import , there is an option to check the units and even change the units or add units if its missing.
Defaulting to feet is not the way forward.

it is 2024 and trimble connect have not fixed unit system error.
I would like to use only trimble connect to open and measure small connection models in case if I could set my default unit system(for me metric), but trimble connect keeps open all models with imperial unit system and steels my time to change it back again and again.

This can lead to manufacturing errors so would absolutely like the default units for new projects to be read from somewhere. Many times Trimble Connect project is started directly from Tekla Structures too, you can't choose a template when you do that.

Hi Heber,
Unfortunately , its not possible for a user to set unit type in Trimble Connect globally across all projects.
One option is - if you are creating the projects, you could use "Use as template for a new project" => "Project Settings". This will copy the unit settings to the new project being created.

Hello,
I am working with Trimble Connect Web and Windows. Is there a way to set the default measurement unit settings for all projects and all future projects?
It keeps reverting to Metric, and Imperial with 1/2" and 1/4" tolerance, when I want 1/16" tolerance, and I have to fix it on each job when it seems like I've done it already.
Also, when I use the "New & Improved" Tekla Structures to Trimble Connect Export, the length & area properties of each part are shown as metric when the unit settings are imperial. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thank you for your help.
