Running Earthworks on most our machine but still have a few with GCS900.

What are the added benefits of using a .vcl file for the model ?

Biggest value is turning off linework. Operators can clean up there screens and only look at what they need to. 

I believe Works Manger still converts machine control files into svl's and svl's prior to loading into the machine. The machine tells works manger what it is (GCS900 vXX or EarthWorks vXX) and converts the files to the appropriate version and then creates the file path.
