WorksManager Sync TSC5 Controllers

    Hi,

We've had a few occasions when syncing the TSC5 controllers doesn't' complete the sync to WM (WorksManager) (when it has stated "Synchronised" in the field).

    Our sequence:
WorksManager Sync > Synchronise > Select Project > Accept. (generally goes through the sync process without fail)
Info Panel > "Synchronisation completed successfully". (Select > "OK").

Is this a situation where the synchronisation has stated "completion" is that actually a case of it only connecting to WM, and the uploading is still occurring? Then, if the upload doesn't complete due to lost connectivity to say 4g/wifi, it obviously doesn't work.

i.e. should the controller say synchronisation enabled.
Then states uploading, then gets a ping back once on WM, to confirm upload complete?

What I'm wondering, is whether there is an optimal process that we are missing, or is the data stream causing the issue with an incomplete process.
At the moment, the only verifiable check is on worksmanager itself - to check that their field data has syncrhonised, before they email to confirm they've sycnchronised.

    Kind Regards,
    Julius

If you don't have TCCexplorer installed, you need to install it to verify data on your controllers.   This will give you direct access to the TCC filespace.

If your files are not showing up once you have created them in Works Manager, then there is a sync conflict on Trimble's end that you will have no control over.

If this is the case, do the following.  (back up your controller first)

    1. Back up your Work Orders folder on your controller.
    2. Delete the controller off your site.
    3. Go into TCCexplorer and delete your controller from the filespace
    4. Go to your controller and delete the site through the file explorer.
    5. Delete Allsites.xml out of the SCS900data folder.
    6. Go back to Works Manager and add the controller to your site.
    7. Go to TCCexplorer and copy the Works Order folder into the SCS900data folder.
    8. Sync the site.
    9. Hopefully future design adds in WM will work now.
    10. Good luck and don't blame me if you loose data because you didn't back up properly.

    Thanks Matt,

I appreciate your notes above. We'll run through that sequence. (I've noted comments about backing up also...).

    Regards,
    Julius
