I have also been trying to resolve an issue related to this. I can initiate a compensated measurement but after 4 epochs, the precision blows out and the measurement does not conclude. My Trimble rep suggested adjusting the QC criteria but this simply defeats the object of the function right?
I am reasonably certain that Access is to blame because I suffered the same issue with 2 different pairs of R10 receivers. Anyone out there had the same issue?
ACCESS 2017.00 seems to have a bug in this routine of compensated point ... we simply can not even start it HELP PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP!!!!

I'm afraid we've been unable to reproduce this issue with the limited information we have here. Please work with your Trimble distributor to submit this through our support portal so that we can capture all of the relevant details.
As mentioned in my comment above Andrew, our Trimble distributor has made suggestions which have not resolved the issue.
Andrew thanks but we are the Dominican Republic distributor and tried to get Socrates R10/TSC3 doing the compensated point with the ebubble and it is not working in ACCESS 2017.00 We opened a support case but no response yet.
Are you able to complete all of the steps in the eBubble calibration routine? Is this a newer receiver, S/N 57....? What receiver firmware version are you running?
Barney Brotherhood also concerning the calibration routine, have you gone through all of the steps in an open area away from any large sources of magnetic disturbance, e.g. vehicles, electrical utilities, etc.? When attempting to measure a compensated point, does Access give the 'Magnetic field disturbed' message? What receiver firmware version are you running?

I have Trimble Access version 2017.00 (13001)
In the menu I do not see the option to measure compensated points, as shown in the image above.
I might have guessed that you have an LT model, but the fact that you have the eBubble would rule that out. Can you please tell me the receiver part number, which is located on the underside of the receiver next to the serial number? Can you also please tell me the R10 firmware version? I presume you've been through the three calibration steps?

I haven't been able to reproduce this problem with the same version of Trimble Access and receiver firmware. Were you previously able to measure compensated points with this receiver? Please also try upgrading your receiver firmware to v5.30, which is available via Trimble Installation Manager.
We had the same problem and found out that if you calibrate the R10 in the office the compensated point is not working.
When you do the calibrations outside away from everything that looks or smells like metal the compensated point is working
