Hi All,

Is there away to transfer layouts and cell contents to new files.

Tilos to Tilos transfer doesn't have the option for cells or layouts transfer.

Drag and Drop doesn't work most of the time.

This note shows up some of the time.

I would prefer not to "save as".

Regards

Stuart

Hi Stuart,

transfering cellö contents via drag and drop will work. But you have to check manually, that the id's of the cell contens are unique in source and target file.

Also any objects inside the cells have to be unique in ID, otherwise they will not be copied, but assigned in the ´target file.

I would not recommend to copy whole layouts, as the outcome is even more unpredictable regarding the used Id;s for any object inside the view.

The message you are having indicates a different issue. There seems to be an issue copying the data from source to target file. This is done technically via network/TCPIP connection. So any connection issues on the network side can cause such a data transfer issue, for example the windows firewall can block transfer. If you are using terminal server sessions it may also be impossble to connect from one terminal server session to another.
You have to assue, thet TCPIP connection is possible between the source and target Tilos session.
