Hi everyone,

I was wondering why at least one mail is required to create a link to share a file ?

In my workflow, I'd rather like to insert the link in a mail I'm writting in my mailbox than using the box "Note" to write my email.
It would be easier if the link to copy was already displayed when clicking on the logo "Share". To achieve what I want for now, I have to first enter and send the file to someone, to be able to copy and paste the link in my mail...

Why do I prefer to proceed this way ? Well, the default-mail sent by Trimble is in english, and sadly in France, not everyone can read it... Besides, I'm much more confortable writting a mail "as usual", using the mailbox.

Or maybe am I missing something ?

To be clear:
First I need to share to someone :

And then a get the link :

Use the option to share "anyone with the link" and you can just put any email address and you see "copy links" button which you can then use to copy and paste to yoir email

Tero Laine,

This is my point... Why the need to use an email?
Why not a button "Share with link" next to the "share" button?

As long as I need to use an email, it will pollute the boxmail used...

I agree with this question. I have the same problem. we shouldn't need to write the mail in order to get the link.
