I am searching for a way to merge/import fields from an existing template into points imported from a KML.
I receive UXO dig targets from our geophysicist as a CSV that contains eastings and northings, depth, amplitude, closest ordnance etc. I import them into QGIS and generate a KML file from this data. The subsequent data is imported into Connect and then a task is then created and issued to the technicians.
Our UXO technicians navigate to the points and then add supplemental data based on their investigations. These include actual depths, actual description of the item discovered, weight/size, action taken etc.
We have a master template that contains these additional fields. It would save lots of work if I could merge or import the master template into the Point file.
