Models loses their position in Connect for Desktop

Hello,

I have used the program since it replaced Bimsight.

I often work with models in different coordinate systems. And until now it has not been any problem. I just adjust the positions to what I want then it stays there even if the model is updated.

But in the last week or two the new models i insert gets reset if I go to another project or restart Connect. The positions seem to get saved on the "for windows" application but I really want to use the desktop version since I also work with point clouds together with IFC-models.

What has happened? What can I do?

I have similar problem.

I imported a Navisworks model and all worked nicely.Having the model positioned in the correct location is actually quite important because it’s the location I will be doing setting out.

if I upload and AutoCAD files into Trimble connect then they are not positioned in the correct place. If I open these AutoCAD files in any of the CAD software then there are no problems and the model or drawing is in the correct location and all the coordinates are correct.

Si it looks like Trimble Connect is not able to import DXF and DWG files properly.

We don’t want to be scaling , rotating and translating these CAD files after they have been imported to Trimble connect.

Am I the only person that has this problem. It could be that I’m the only person to have ever used Trimble connect to upload a DWG or DXF file.

I have exactly the same problem with a nwd-file, i set the x,y,z position to match the site coordinates and add an X-rotation of 90°.

After reopening the project everything has switched back to zero. :(

I have the same anoying problem on desktop  version. In web version everything was ok. I solved it by asking my coleque from his acount to put in same model in trimble connect agen with changed model name and positioned that model in place. Now for me it do not resets to 0.0.0 position in desktop version.

I also have the same problem.

The position resets after 1 minute I put the values, and going back to zero again. But only on my local PC, it's going to the origin. In other people's Trimble models which are in the project already, their positions are correctly visible. Only on my local model, it is incorrect. I checked the browser Trimble model as well, and it is also correctly positioned in the web browser. I recently updated my software to "TrimbleConnectSetup-1.21.0.518-x64". Is it about this update?? Please help me solve this issue. I tried uninstalling and re-installing the software. Since I have updated my software to 1.21, I cannot install previous versions too, because when I install the previous version, it doesn't open my models and gives an error something like: "Model library cannot be opened in the previous version because it was saved in 1.21 version.".

Please help me solve this issue, if it is about the new update, please fix this because I cannot use the software now!

Thanks!

Same problem for me. Seems to be a local issue on the computer.

Cleaning up the local folders seems to work:
