 Split objects in Trimble Connect

Ok, so here is my scenario. I would like to be able to split an excisting object where ever I decide to split it from an IFC file uploaded to Trimble Connect. Is this possible?

The reason why I want split an object is that we are looking at det opportunity to use Trimble Connect to monitor the progress in our project. To do so I would like to for example split a pipe in smaller pieces so we can put the progress status on one part of the object as "not started" and the next part of the object as " finished".

Is this possible in the Trimble Connect software today?

If not, is this something that would be considered implementing?

Hi Thomas,
Currently its not possible to split existing model elements in a 3D model.
However, it is possible to assign status to individual model elements using the Status sharing (Beta) .  You can check if this helps you.

@Darshan Rajaram Kamat I have tested the Status sharing (beta) and thats where my question is coming from. See attached photo. The pipeline here is long and if we are going to use the Status sharing extension we should be able to split an object such as this pipeline. Some part of the pipeline are done this month and the rest is not going to be done before march 2023.

Is this an opportunity that Trimble considers to implement?​
