I have a workflow that requires me to export a point layer shapefile from ArcMap and upload it into Trimble Connect. The end result is to update the point location in the field. The current point layer has fields with data that I need to keep so I have to export with all of those fields turned on and then append and delete duplicates after field work is complete. The issue comes in when I upload the zipped file into Trimble Connect. I have to create a template every time. Fields that uploaded are out of order and I have to manually arrange and then add all of the auto fields to track accuracy. I have to rename them all to match my current field names in my shapefile. This is time consuming. My question is... do I have to create a new template each time? Is there an easier way to do this? Thanks in advance for any help provided.
