Trimble Connect Sync exports incomplete .tekla models

I started using Trimble Connect Sync on my project earlier this year, it's a large project and I have multiple models that sync to the same Trimble Connect project.

I set the advanced option XS_UPLOAD_SHARED_MODEL_TO_CONNECT to sync on WRITEOUT and all worked fine until recently when I noticed the .tekla models in Trimble Connect were incomplete.

Various members were missing, there didn't appear to be any consistency on which elements "disappeared" or why. That project had been in limbo for a little while the first writeout after the hiatus I noticed the issue. I could see when I checked the historical models that the missing elements were there previously, it seems they were selectively ignored at writeout.

The only thing I think has changed since the last successful writeout is we switched our licensing to a different system i.e. we now have Carbon, Graphite and Diamond options.

If there is no easy fix then I'll have to abandon this method of syncing and revert to IFC exports I control manually.

Hi Steve,

Trimble Connect Sync doesn't check Tekla licenses to upload  / download the files.  It is quite surprising that you were able to see missing model elements while the file itself had been synced.

Are you checking the models in Trimble Connect Browser app or Windows app after the upload  - where you are seeing the missing elements ?  Can you please send a screenshare video to our Support team (connect-support@trimble.com) , so that we can investigate.
