 Unable to log in to Trimble Connect Sync on mac. Browser closes immediately

I just purchased Sketchup Pro, and am trying to set up the TrimbleConnectSync app on my mac.  When I try to sync, I see a "Signing in..." view with a message that I need to "complete the sign in process in the web browser before using the application".  Clicking the "Launch browser again" button does open Chrome, but that window immediately closes without giving me a chance to log in.  I tried changing my default browser to Safari, but it has the same behavior.

I am able to login to web.connect.trimble.com so it's not an issue of credentials.  Any idea what might be going on?  It kind of seems like there is some javascript error that is causing the page to crash.

Hi Daniel,
Could you please do the following steps (if not done already) - 
1. Log out of all Trimble applications (if there are any active ones especially in Browser) . 
2. Clear browser cache. 
3. Uninstall and re-install Trimble Connect Sync. 
4. Login to Trimble Connect Sync.

If it still doesn't work , can you please do a screen capture video and share it (alongwith your login email address) with our Support Team (connect-support@trimble.com) , so that we can investigate.

That seemed to do it.  The issue appears to have been that I was logged into the Sketchup Free chrome extension as well.  Logging out fixed the problem.
