How do I provide a deliverable to my client with the site site photos taken with the data collector and tagged to a topo point?
Is there an efficient way to add the point number to the photo name or add the photo name to the point attributes?
It really depends on what field software you are using. With Trimble Access there are two ways of doing it. You can either attach the image as a media file. This will determine what point the image is associated with. Another way is to use feature code with a photo attribute.
The data was collected in Access, photos were associated with the previous point.
This is what I currently have in TBC.
What is my best means of providing these photos from TBC to the client with the appropriate point association?
If the images are just media files, (i.e. not linked as a photo attribute to the point) then probably the easiest way of sharing this information would be as a *.KMZ file. A *.KMZ will have the images imbedded in it and can of course be viewed with Google earth. Use the Kml/Kmz exporter option from the GIS tab Export to do this.
If you have attached the images as photo attributes to a feature code then it gives you a bit more flexibility with export options. However if you want a single file then KMZ is the best option.
