Why the R2 GNSS RTX RTK accuracy is very slow to get FIXED positions?

We have 2 R2 GNSS RTX RTK accuracy rovers and have been testing against the R8s and R10 as well as the R4M3 with GPS+GLO and it takes easily twice the time to get a fixed solution when there are some obstacles close by (some trees, hills, poles or buildings).     Also it looses fix very easily in light forestry conditions while the R4M3 doesnt.   Anyone knows of a solution or configuration to optimize measuring RTK with this R2?
