Has anyone seen anything like this before? Do you know if there is a Disable Point Clouds option somewhere?
I can bring the data into a new project no problem, but for some reason cannot bring it into my existing project..
Can you provide me this data set? I would like to investigate this further here.
I have the same problem I opened my VCE file this morning and point cloud is gone. I cant bring it back in. i can view and see other projects fine. scans are all ok but this job only has problems.

I have just had the same issue,
I had imported another cloud which I had then deleted form the project folder ( this is a another issue..it keeps this data in here despite being delete form the project- clogging up space)
I now cannot reimport the las file in had before
RESOLVED -- try delete the regions in explorer apart from default - which you cant delete. I had a hunch id seen this before and this was the answer

I too have this problem on a project. A lot of work went into creating the regions but oh well. How does one delete a region. I tried right-clicking on the region but no "delete" command.
I have this issue again and deleted two clouds imported, then tried to save and got an error message now it wont let me import new point clouds, this is a nightmare!
I would suggest contacting a trimble dealer and asking them to do a support ticket to Trimble. I haven't had it happen again but I don't hold my breath. Loosing a classified and cleaned scan can be a big setback. Back up on external hard drive or elsewhere all the time! Takes a bit but worth it.
