I have not been able to get Trimble Sync Manager to Export Text from my TBC session into my Access job file on TSC7
I can see that I need to watch this community board more closely.
To add a reply for anyone else tracking the community this ties into the following question
@Trimble Sync Manager is not brining in Text from my TBC Session into Access on TSC7
Trimble Business Center are aware that the issue originates when using Send to Sync and are working on resolving it.
Any luck resolving this issue?
I do not have a timeline for when the TBC Send to Sync will include the text and have requested that the priority is reassessed.
James's suggestion to export the dxf from TBC and add it to Trimble Sync Manager from your desktop is the currently available workaround.
What sort of text entities are you trying to export? If you create a Trimble Access job file from TBC that file will contain coordinate system details and points. The only real text entities contained in the job would be feature codes or point name descriptions attached to the points. If you have other text entities that you wish to export you might be better off exporting a DXF file and then load it as a background file in your job.
The text I am trying to export is the Lot Number labels created in TBC. I am aware of the export DXF workaround. I was just checking in as to when we will have a more permanent solution, i.e. being able to get said text to sync manager via the send to syn manager button in TBC.
On a somewhat unrelated note, how does one go about becoming a TBC beta tester?

A Trimble Access job is a not drawing file, so you have not going to get all necessary parameters to draw text (i.e. text font, size, location orientation, etc) stored in the job in order to display text in the map. A DXF file is the permanent solution here.
As for TBC Beta testing, I will let the TBC Product Manager know that you are interested.
Agreed there is no such thing as text within a .JOB file.
That being said, I do not want the text in the Job file I need it in the DXF that is generated by the send to sync button. The TBC Send to Sync button selects Lines, Arcs and other CAD entities and converts them into a DXF that is in turn loaded onto the Trimble Connect project via Trimble sync manager and then links said DXF into the JOB file. The issue is that it will not include text. The work around can it the job done but it is a bunch of unnecessary steps that can be avoided if the send to sync button will just recognize text the same way it recognizes all the other CAD entities. If you need to get further information regarding this issue please let me know and I can walk you through it so you can better understanding the issue and get this information to the developers.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
