Sorry about that Erik, that link is to our Partners portal, for authorized dealers who have access to that site. I'm on the SPS team not the machine team so am not sure of the permissions right now and how those can be shared around. I'll ask someone on the Earthworks team if this can be passed around to people outside of the partners portal.
Thanks Steve. Is there a emulator I can run on a Window 10 PC to check data and support field units?
Hi Rob. There is an Earthworks simulator available but it runs on an Android platform as the actual Earthworks interface, that is in turn connected to a Windows computer which runs as the "engine" where there is a cartoon of the HEX that essentially feeds in the position and sensor data. As I understand it (again I am an SPS, off-machine guy, not an Earthworks person) this only allows for the use of the pre-configured designs that come with the simulator software, and you're not able to load in designs of your own, like you can do with the Emulator for Siteworks. It's basically designed to be a training/simulator/demonstration tool, rather than a check designs/emulator tool.
I would suggest getting in touch with your local Sitech dealer for more information on this.
Rob, in the 1.7 version of the simulator you can load customer designs. More info here: Product Bulletin - Earthworks Training Simulator v1.7.0.pdf
Rob - It's just a link to the document on Partners Portal, if you're an authorised dealer who have access to that site you should be able to access it.
The document was just showing the updates in the 1.7.0 simulator, it's not necessary, just get the 1.7.0 simulator (here: Simulator_EarthWorks_1_7_0.1.exe but you'll still need access) and you'll be able to load customer designs.
I asked this question to the PM and the TBC PUg and they said not really. It would be nice to have some documentation on what it can actually do and be able to walk people in the field through how to do something from the office.
