I would like to put in a request for a rotation snap when rotating text. This would make cleaning up orientation of text a lot quicker.
Thank you.

Pat,
I would like to expand on this as I have thought a useful tool would always be to rotate the text parallel to a line segment. I am constantly rotating text to align with pipe runs, building pads, or etc. It would be nice for something simple to select the text, then select a line, and the text would rotate to an angle that is parallel to that line, then we would only have to move the text to where we want it. Granted we can always select the text and rotate it but sometimes this might take and trial and error until its perfect.
A couple of things that you can do today that you may or may not be aware of
When in an Angle field - if you hold the SHIFT key down and click on any Line that has the angle you want at the end of the line which has the angle you need (ie a line at 30 degrees has 30 degrees at one end and 210 at the other end (beyond half way works)) you can use that to align text to that bearing,
In your case Pat, you want to rotate the text by the remaining part of 90 degrees to get to the angle required - ie if the text is at 30 degrees and you want t at 90 degrees you want to rotate it by 90-30 ie 60 degrees. You can select a line that has the bearing you want and then enter 90- in front of it in the angle field and then Tab out of the field and it will compute the rotation angle for you.
Currently we can only extract the Text Orientation from the properties Pane and not by selecting the text itself to get the orientation - I will ask if SHIFT + Text would allow us to get the orientation and then you can use it in the same way.
With TBC v5 now you can dock the Properties Pane so at any time you can select any text and see
Here is a short video showing you how
