Hope someone can help. I have recently purchased an echo sounder with its own acquisition software. the software has the option to output NMEA. I am able to receive data into the controller, however the depth being shown on the controller (continuous topo) is different to that being output by the 3rd party software. I have checked the data being output using hyperterminal and the correct depth is being sent however there seems to be something amiss with the controller.
I have noticed that when i vary the depth (transducer in test tank), the controller does not reflect the same level of change.
I have tried multiple baud rates (4800 to 38400) all with the same solution.
has anyone come across this before.
