Has anyone tried to connect their Trimble Dini to a windows 10 computer to download the .dat files to process in tbc? The current downloads from the Trimble site only show drivers up to Windows 7 and its unable to connect.
You should need any special USB drivers for Windows 10. Data Transfer v1.57 running on a Windows 10 PC can connect to a Dini and download a DAT file. You will however need to create a Trimble DiNi USB device in Data Transfer.
You may also have issues using a USB 3 port. Use a USB 2 port on your PC if it has one. If your PC doesn't have a USB 2 port then I would recommend downloading to a USB stick.
When you go to our Trimble webpage and search for Trimble DiNi you will find Trimble Optical Positioning Components (SNP Com - 64/32bit). Make sure that you are installing the right version depends on your system - Windows 10 is coming normally with 64-Bit.
trimble dini dini
It is long overdue a major hardware software upgrade for the DiNi
Also - the video (link below) shows the process for setting up the Dini Connection through the Data Transfer. Strangely, you don't select Trimble Dini, but select Trimble Dini (USB) Device when setting up.
