I am using a GeoXH 2005 model
Hi David, While I'm not an expert on the GeoXH line, there is information here.
If your handheld isn't listed, please fill out the support form here and someone will follow up with you promptly.
Thank you! No luck with the lists so have sent a note to support.
Hello David Could you find a solution to the "ROLL OVER" problem of your Geoexplorer XH 2005? Your is like this please share it to me there or to the email email@example.com
Hi Cecil, there is a work around that will let you log uncorrected data but you will not be able to deferentially correct. Turn on Trimble, disconnect from GPS, change Windows date to current, setup your new file and reconnect GPS. The date will change to incorrect date (1999) but you will be able to log to new file, download and export but not differential correct.
Really disappointing that Trimble have not offered a firmware fix for earlier models. I have 2 GeoXT series 2005 that I use to log and fix data from an external Pipeline Current Mapper which is also 2005 series. All works perfectly but lack of Trimble support now requires me to upgrade both GPS and external equipment at significant cost, staff retraining, disruption to work program, etc. This should be a simple firmware fix that would save their customers much trouble and expense!
The Trimble GeoExplorer 2005 series handhelds now has a new firmware build available (v2.12) which is compliant with the GPS World Number Rollover April 2019 event.
Note - GeoExplorer 2005 users will need to use TerraSync version 5.41 or later. Earlier versions are not compatible with v2.12 firmware. This will also require a GPS Pathfinder Office version of 5.60 or later to retain compatibility with TerraSync 5.41.
Please contact your Trimble reseller for guidance upgrading the firmware and more information
