I'm trying to connect tsc3 trimble access 2017.11 to trimble R10 Model 2 v5.34 but a message appear " unrecognized receiver type"
Someone can help me to solve the issue.
Sadly, we are having the exact same issue. Any resolution. I thought resolved it
by selecting R10 internal antenna for the Survey Style.
The problem for us was that the TSC3 requires an update Software version for Trimble Access (TAS) on the TSC3. We were using a 2016 version. The R10-2 requires at least version 2017,21. For me, it was tricky to get the TSC3 to talk to Trimble Installation Manager (TIM on-line version) through Windows 10, since Windows Mobile Device Center is not supported on Windows 10.
The fix entailed following these Instructions for upgrading the TSC3, from a Trimble support partner:
1. Make sure to check that the device has correctly connected to the PC by checking in device manager orcheck to see if the device is seen in the safely remove hardware icon. If the device is not recognized bywindows go to the device and tap the start button> Settings> Connections> USBtoPc. Make sure enableadvanced network functionality is not checked then press the okay button. You may have to reconnectthe device from the pc several times while trying different usb ports if it doesn’t connect automatically.
2. With the device connected go to services and find Windows Mobile-2003-based device connectivity.
Right click and open properties click on the Log on tab then choose Local System account and checkAllow service to interact with desktop then choose okay.
3. Do the same thing as above to the Windows Mobile-based device connectivity. You can then be able to set both services to automatic and start them.
4. I had to plug/un-plug the TSC3 with the USB cable into my laptop, and then relaunch TIM, a few times, before TIM recognized the TSC3. Also, at least my license on the TSC3 covered up to the last SW release in 2017. Future TAS versions I was told will not be supported on the TSC3.
