I am running the latest build of BC and I am having issues creating dynaviews. I cannot seem to create them.
There are two cad leaders in the plan view that cause an exception when drawing. When a dynaview gets an exception it stops drawing. From the plan view run advanced select and pick the cad leader type. There should be two objects selected that you cannot see. Erase them. You will now be able to see your dynaviews.
I think that you have the layer of the dynaview off in the sheet view where you are placing the dynaview. Make the sheet view active and set the view filter to all.
That was my thought originally. In the video, at time stamp 2:34, you will see that I have the all filter on and the dynaview is still not showing up.
I messed with this for 2 hours today. At one point I was able to get the border to show up but no contents. Very frustrating.
email me the file after you create the dynaview.
That was definitely part of the issue. Is there a way to select these exceptions? Maybe an advanced select?
Also, there seems to be a bug when creating the dynaview itself. Please see the video below please. There is a work order but it can throw you off if you are not aware of it.
An program exception occurs when an unexpected event happens that requires special processing that it does not handle. In this case the the leader lines have no points so when we try to draw them there is an exception. Some exceptions can be handled silently so the user never sees them. In this case you don't get the message popping up but the drawing of the dynaview stops. We added code that will now allow the dynaview to continue to draw even if this object has an exception. As exceptions are not objects there is nothing to select. The leaders were probably created in autocad, then imported. The corruption should be handled on the object creation and fixed there.
You are correct that the program should not skip over the rotation angle. If you create the dynaview in plan view the program stops at the angle where the user can graphically pick the angle. When created in the sheet view it does not operate as intended. I have created an issue for this and should have it fixed for the next release.
