Use this function to insert a symbol (AutoCAD drawing block) to indicate tunnel entrance.

Run the function from the following locations:

MOUS_ICO Toolbar: Tools: Draw Tunnel Entrance Symbol
MOUS_ICO Menu: Road > Tools > Draw Tunnel Entrance Symbol

Command prompts for:

Pick baseline:

Select the reference line (alignment/line/arc/polyline), along which the tunnel entrance symbol is to be inserted.

• As the reference line is selected, a preview of the entrance symbol will be shown.
• The dialog 'Draw Tunnel Entrance' will pop up.

• Chainage: The start chainage for the tunnel entrance symbol can be defined either at the edit field of the dialog or can be selected from the AutoCAD using the button adjacent to the edit field.
  • AutoCAD snap modes can be used to select the start chainage from the AutoCAD.
• Northings/Eastings: The coordination of the selected chainage will be mapped at these fields.
• Width: Define the width (meter) of the tunnel entrance symbol. Refer to the graphical illustration.

The length of the tunnel (calculated from the start and end chainage of the tunnel) will be mapped at this field.

Use the button 'OK' to draw the tunnel entrance symbol.
