Use this function to read the elevation of desired points from the active database (Digital Terrain Model/DTM) and to insert annotation for the elevation.

• The annotation will be drawn to the current layer.

Run the function from the following locations:

MOUS_ICO Toolbar: Elevation Tools:  Get Elevation from Terrain Model
MOUS_ICO Menu: Road > Elevation Tools > Get Elevation from Terrain Model

Command prompts for:

Select a point:

MOUS_ICO Pick the point where terrain elevation is required

Make use of snap modes for precise selection.

The program reads the terrain elevation from the active groups and feature codes and inserts an annotation for elevation.

• Continue selecting points for terrain elevation or exit the function.

The text inserted by the program for the terrain height of the point is shown below.
