Problem
When the customer acquires a new PC, information about where to find the license must be entered in the registry on it in the case of a network license. Sleve's license file on the server only changes when changing to a new version or changing license servers.
We at Trimble do not always have what is really used as the name of the license server. The customers can change the server name as they want.
You may also have created your own name search in what you call DNS to use the names they have.
Remedy/Solution
Close Autocad and all instances of GS Presentation.
Open GS Archive.
Click Settings at the top of the menu and then select Settings File.
For the license server, set the correct path to the license server under the parameter: NETLICPATH
Open REGEDIT (windows type REGEDIT for Registry Editor).
Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\FLEXlm License Manager\
Delete the NOVAPT_LICENSE_FILE key
Restart GS Archive
Select the correct license server or license file when asked at startup.

När kunden skaffar en ny PC ska information om var man hittar licensen läggas in i registret på den när det gäller en nätverkslicens. Sleves licensfil på servern ändras bara när man byter till en ny version eller byter licensserver.
Vi på Trimble har inte alltid det som verkligen används som namn på licensservern. Kunderna kan ändra servernamnet som de vill.
Man kan också ha skapat en egen namnsökning i det man kallar DNS för att använda de namn de har.
Avhjälpning
Stäng Autocad samt alla instanser av GS Presentation.
Öppna GS Arkiv.
Klicka på Inställningar uppe i menyn och välj sedan Inställningsfil.
Vid licensserver ställ in korrekt sökväg till licensservern under parametern: NETLICPATH
Öppna REGEDIT (windows skriv REGEDIT för Registry Editor).
Navigera till HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\FLEXlm License Manager\
Ta bort nyckeln NOVAPT_LICENSE_FILE
Starta om GS Arkiv
Välj korrekt licensserver eller licensfil vid frågan vid uppstarten.
