There is a new version of the Trimble Connect for Browser 3D Viewer available at web.connect.trimble.com. Version identifier for this release 4.0.0.

New center snapping option: The measurement tools now have a new center snapping option. To try it, first active one of the measurement tools in the toolbar:

This version update contains improvements:

• The workflow to update a view in the view details panel has slightly changed. Now, the user must first click on the edit icon, then update view and save changes:

  • The purpose of the change to reduce the number of unintended updates of the view
• The Rule Based Organizer now Indicates that a rule based group is outdated immediately when there is a new model version uploaded (not having to reload the Organizer panel)
• Now, there is a confirmation question presented when creating a new rule based group and saving the rule would result into a very high number of groups:

• Now, the Organizer panel presents a confirmation question before proceeding to load a group with very high number of subgroups:

• The Organizer panel now delays loading group contents until expanded. This improves the initial loading speed of the Organizer panel

This version update contains fixes:

• Fixed an issue where attaching a file to model objects of certain model file formats failed
• Fixed an issue where loading attachments of certain models failed (opening the attachments panel failed)
• Fixed an issue where clicking “Reset model” also reset the user’s DWG viewing preferences in Settings → Preferences. Now the user’s DWG model viewing preferences are retained
• Fixed an issue where the single point measurement tool was not available on tablet computers and mobile phones
• Fixed an issue with inverted camera presets in the toolbar (front / back & left / right were opposite of the intended)
