This function enables you to split an existing long section, making it possible to better adjust the vertical geometry to the frame. Use this if the vertical line/geometry has significant differences in elevation along the path, enabling different parts of the long section to have different reference elevations.

MOUS_ICO Toolbar: Not available from toolbar
MOUS_ICO Menu: Road > Draw Longitudinal Profile > Split Long section from Road Design Task…

• Select frame by marking the insertion point of the section.
• Type in which station you want to split the section.
• Type in the new datum (elevation) from the selected station.
• Select Add to store the information in the table (multiple splitting points can be defined).
• Execute the function by selecting Update.
