Start Configuration

What

This function is used for the following operations:

• Register the Water and Sewer objects such as !!pipes!!, !!manholes!!, materials, valves, hydrants, connections, etc., that shall be used in the Water and Sewer Project.
• To define/edit the relation among the registered objects such as the following:
  • Among various materials available (registered materials and built-in materials), which material is to be used for different pipe types such as water supply pipe, stormwater pipe, sewage pipe, etc., relations are to be defined.
  • Among various materials available, which material is to be used for different manholes such as, sewage manhole, stormwater manhole, etc., relations are to be defined.
• To define/edit the various connections among the registered objects such as pipe-pipe connection, pipe-manhole connection, etc.
• To configure the drawing setup of various objects in plan view and profile view.
• To select the cross-section of the trench among various pre-defined and user-defined cross-sections. The selected cross-section will be the active cross-section.
• To configure the trench cross-section for the position of pipes in the trench, protection layer, standard depth, gradient, rock shelf width, side slopes, distance sideways, etc.
• To define the trench foundation

Run the function from the following locations:

The user interface 'Novapoint WS Config' of the function 'Start Configuration' will pop up.

How

The configuration dialogue contains the following menus:

• Ditches
• Pipes
• Pipe materials
• Connectors
• Connector materials
• Save
• Import
• Save as...
