09-16-2022 05:24

There is a new version of the Trimble Connect for Windows application released today. Version identifier for this release is 1.16.0.388. The new version is available for download in the Connect apps store page or by clicking the "New version available!" button in the top right corner of the Connect for Windows application.

New Features

  • We are introducing a 3D Model Comparison feature in Connect for Windows. Main characteristics of the new feature are:
    • Enables comparing .IFC and .Tekla models visually
    • User can select any 2 versions of a single model, or any 2 models in the project for comparison
    • Compare model feature creates a new model that has only the changes/differences in it (so called “diff model”)
    • User can choose view the differences temporarily or choose to keep the newly created model for later
    • Comparison detects geometry and property changes only when objects have GUIDs. Only part level changes are detected.
    • Visualization: Green = inserted object, Grey  = modified/changed object Red = deleted object, Blue = only properties were changed
    • More information in the Trimble Connect for Windows User Guide

Improvements and Fixes

  • Double-clicking an object in 3D now opens the object properties panel directly
  • Project deletion dialog now has a 3 second timer before it allows the user to delete the project forever
  • Fixed an issue where not all property sets were displayed in the properties panel if there were multiple property sets with the same name. For example, when an object had multiple property sets with the same name “IFC Classification Reference”, only one of the property sets was displayed. Now, all property sets are displayed even if they share the same name.
  • IFC importer update to v5.64
  • Navisworks importer (BETA) update to v1.20
  • TFLx converter update to v1.0.3.0

Hello, I tested model comparison feature. For IFC models, which comes from Tekla Structures, works great, but for IFC models, which comes from Revit - all elements are with modified properties, but in reality, they are not changed.
In comparison mode, model is slow, butt
But still great feature, You are going in right direction.

Is this issue also going to be fixed in the Data Table of the Connect 3D Viewer?
