New & Improved

This Object Manager release includes these new features and enhancements:

IFC Data 

• New conversion rule configuration - Quadri IFC 4.39 conversion rules are now available for Switzerland. 
• Validation of objects contained in the spatial structure - You can now right-click in the Explorer to validate that all objects are included in the spatial structure at least once, but not multiple times.

Insert

• Improved import of IfcMaterials - IfcMaterials are now prevented from being duplicated if the same IfcMaterial is imported more than once.

Modify 

• Relation tool enhancements - You can now use different colors for strong and weak relations, and change an existing relation to another relation type. 
• New Automation tool actions 
  • You can now create parent and child objects. 
  • You can now create IfcElementAssemblies. 
  • You can now add IfcMaterial to materials. 
  • You can now map a value from CSV with a predefined value (enum/dropdown) when using CSV loop. 
  • The functionality for selecting and mapping properties and the display of property names has been improved.

Presentations 

• IFC default presentation rule - You can now use a new, dedicated presentation rule for texture on terrain, road, and railway models.
• General small enhancements have been made to presentation rules.

Output

• New settings option for IFC fi le export - You can now export swept/extruded geometry as BRep geometry.

Fixed

This Object Manager release also includes fixes for reported or discovered cases in which:

Explorer 

• The program crashed when creating a new GenericProperty from the Explorer.

Import

• You could not multi-select fi les from Projects during import. 
• Importing a LandXML fi le set an incorrect elevation for boundaries defi ned with <PntList2D>. 
• When importing IFC 4.3 data, the preview of an imported Spatial Breakdown Structure task was not being shown below the Import task. 
• Miscellaneous other bugs affected the import of IFC fi les.

Output 

• When publishing to 3D, billboard text placement was wrong; 3D presentation tasks had an incorrect Origin. 
• Exporting to IFC2x3 failed the fi rst time. 
• Miscellaneous other bugs aff ected the export of IFC fi les.

Other

Limitations and Known Issues

• Some swept/extruded geometry in exported IFC-fi les are shown twisted in receiving software. We are investigating if there is an error in the exported IFC fi le or in the receiving software.
• IFC 4.3 export: Some exported BREP geometries get validation errors in the buildingSMART Validation Service.
• WFS import is not working properly.
• Sharing empty relation tasks fails.
