Wrong language

05-17-2021 05:56

To set which language Quadri for Windows should use, start Startup.Settings.exe, which is in the same place as Quadri.exe. Or press Windows' "Start"-button, scroll down to "Quadri 2020" and select "Startup Settings Quadri 2020".

If this setting is correct and you still get the wrong language for the objects in the "Explorer" window in Quadri, there are probably some resource files lacking for this feature catalogue on the server you downloaded from.

You can fix this in your local workset by finding the directory Quadri is installed in (usually %PROGRAMFILES%\Trimble either "Quadri\2020" or "Novapoint\2020 (acxx)") and then: Configuration\Default\FeatureCatalogues\xy (where xy is a 2 character short name for the language). Find the resx-file that is for the feature catalogue you are using.

Then find where your workset files are: Find the location of a workset.

Go a few steps up from this directory, to the one with a cryptical name of 36 letters, normally under a "Qg4" or "Qg5" directory. There should be a directory named "Typeregistre" there. Under this you have a directory with the language 2 letter name. Copy the resx file here. If the language is norwegian, you need to copy the resx file to both "NO" and "nb-NO".

Next time you open the workset in Quadri for Windows, you should see the objects in the correct language.
