TML - OffsetSurface

By Gary Lantaff posted 11-27-2018 16:18

The OffsetSurface TML is included in the TBC 5.0 install but I have updated it to include support for adding a clipping boundary while it copies the surface. The clipping boundary is optional. If you download this zip file, make sure you unzip it in the same folder as the macro installed with TBC (C:\ProgramData\Trimble\MacroCommands\Trimble)

Hi Garry,

the macro only uses the vertices in the new surface doesn't it?

Straight after running the macro the triangles do still match the original ones, but as soon as I add new members or a boundary it is messing up the original triangulation. The original break line information for i.e. bottom of bank, change of grade seems to be lost.

Could that be changed?

My current workaround is to offset the surface, use the explode macro and recreate the surface from the explode data.

great macro would it be possible to add perpendicular option as well to this macro.it would come in handy when offsetting surfaces on a slope?

Mr. @Gary Lantaff,

You are a Saint with these TMLs!

I received the error below when trying to offset the surface in the attached vcl.
