Working jack-up barges need to know that they can drop spuds without damaging existing seabed infrastructure.
TMC Restricted Area guidance provides a solution.
- Define polygon areas for know avoidance zones or use a route with tolerance width for a pipeline or cable
- Define offsets points (eg Spuds) or Vessel shape to trigger alarms when entering the avoidance zones
- Relays can be configured to be triggered by the alarm so for example an external audio or visual device can be powered on/off
Add a 'Restricted Area' layer to the Plan View display
The cable avoidance zone (10ft either side of route) is shown on the plan view as the vessel approaches
When the spud location enters the restricted area the alarm is triggered.
