Rebroadcasting is when an incoming internet based correction stream is transmitted over an internal or external UHF radio for local site machines and rovers.
The internet source of corrections can be IBSS, VRS or any service supporting NTRIP Client
Essential configuration workflow
-
Configure the Operation Mode to ‘Radio’. This allows the internal radio to transmit.
-
Configure the LTE modem if needed or connect to the internet using cabled ETH or Wifi
-
Configure the IBSS/NTRIP Client
-
On the I/O Radio configuration use the Relay function and choose the Input Source as the IBSS/NTRIP Client.
Radio Operation Mode
Configure the Operation Mode to ‘Radio’

Configure the radio to transmit on the channel or frequency being used to rebroadcast.

Internet connection
The rebroadcaster needs an internet connection. This could be any of the following:
NTRIP Client
Configure an NTRIP Client to use the Caster and mountpoint for the correction source you want to rebroadcast. This could be an IBSS, VRSNow or 3rd party NTRIP caster.

Relay Function
Configure the Radio in the I/O configuration to use the relay function and direct the input source to use the NTRIP Client previously configured.

If you are using an external radio for the rebroadcaster then the setup is similar but the relay function is configured on the Serial port used to connect to the external radio.

NOTE: The relay function can only be enabled on one I/O port at any one time.
Front Panel
When configuration is completed, the rebroadcaster status can be monitored on the front display.
Line 2 shows the receive status
Line 3 shows the transmit status
Line 4 shows the link quality which is the percentage of correction message packets which have been successfully rebroadcast.
