We're excited to share about our newest Trimble Technology Lab at Flinders University. The TTL is located at Flinders' main campus in Adelaide, South Australia.
The university's new four-year degree program in GIS and Surveying is the only degree of its type in South Australia and will play a critical role in supporting the licensed surveyor workforce in the state. The TTL will bring Trimble geospatial tech into that program and gives students hands-on experience for their future surveying careers.
The TTL is established in close collaboration with UPG, our local authorized geospatial distribution partner. UPG will play a major role in helping to support Flinders instructors in their integration of Trimble geospatial technology into the curriculum.
Many thanks to our TTL faculty champion at Flinders, Rob Keane, for his partnership in establishing this TTL.
Check out how students and researchers in the Department of Earth, Geographic, and Climate Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst spent their summers conducting innovative research using Trimble technology!
Using Trimble total stations and data collectors, they surveyed location and elevation data for projects on salt marsh restoration, tidal flat management, and coastal dynamics.
Learn more about these projects by visiting the university's Trimble Technology Lab website. Thanks to our TTL faculty champion at UMass Amherst, Alex Schreyer, for sharing these stories!
We invite you and your students to test your design creativity with the SketchUp Design Sprint Challenge 2025.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of SketchUp, we're inviting you to look forward 25 years and imagine the role design will play in improving our lives.
We want participants from all areas of design and architecture to envision the year 2050 and design spaces (interior, exterior, or landscape) that have a positive social impact to address the needs of the future—whether that's bettering the environment, improving the local community, or enabling accessibility.
The first-place winner will receive $5,000 USD, a free one-year Studio subscription, and global promotion of their design.
Submissions are due by June 11th.
