Connect for browser doesn't load.

    Hi all. Trimble Connect for browser won't load for me. I just shows a blank page. The desktop app is working fine. Update* It loads fine when using Edge Browser. If I use Chrome it won't load.

    I cleared the cookies, but when I run the 3D model, it is displayed like the image

    I get the same error message on Edge, on chrome it doesn't load at all. Funny thing is: if i get rid of the versionId in the url it does load the model. Eu Servers, accessing from Germany.

    I think the API calls might be affected as well, as a program im working on is giving me faulted tasks for the TrimbConnectClient.GetProjectsAsync() Method.

    We have the same problem here, tried with Chrome and Edge.
    Something's wrong here, and we use Trimble Connect on a daily basis.
    Acces from the Netherlands, btw.

    Deleting cookies, cache and browser history did the trick for us (Edge). In Chrome a hard refresh (Shitf + Click refresh button) turned to be enough.

    Connect in the browser will not load for us either. Seems to have stopped working a few days ago after the large AWS outage that affected Trimble as well as many other companies across the web. It seems we have everything up to date, software wise, and still does not work consistently. A few in our office can get models to load with various browsers, i.e. firefox with Ublock Origin, however I cannot. We have customers trying to view these models and collaborate with us on existing projects and we have pushed Trimble Connect but if this isn't fixed soon we'll have to start using other programs to collaborate.

    Have found two workarounds so my team can continue working.


    Either hard refresh chrome or link people to the 3D viewer directly. 


    Hopefully they solve this soon.

    Found a quick fix do a "Hard refresh" in the browser. 

    How to hard refresh browser and clear cache if you're using Chrome.
    1. Hold down Shift and click the Reload button.
    2. Or Hold down Command, Shift and click the 'R' key.

    Thank you for posting the "Hard refresh", but this seems like an short time fix. I have been struggling with Trimble Connect and the browser version for days now. I have found a site that reports the status of the Trimble Connect service. According to that site (Trimble Connected Community Status (myconnectedsite.com))there is nothing wrong with Trimble Connect. Does anyone know where we can report this kind of failure of service?

    Hi All,
    Apologies for the inconvenience. 
    Our team is working to fix the issue with Trimble Connect for Browser with the opening of 3D files and views (Invalid Query Param issue) . There are some workarounds suggested in our Community post here . We will keep you posted on the updates.

    Dear Darshan,

    I've tried all the blog suggestions and none of them worked.
    I am using latest chrome version 107.0.5304.88 (Build oficial) (64 bits) on windows 10

    this is the error :


    (in english: Please reload the viewer).

    The file can be seen on the desktop app fine, but i cannot tell my clients to install such an app. This issue happens on all the company computers.

    We need help please.

    Hi Andres,
    The "InvalidQueryParameterValue"  issue that I had mentioned on 06-Oct-2022 is not related to the issue you have shown in the screenshot above. That was different and resolved. 

    Regarding the issue you are seeing above, could you please share a screen capture and HAR files with our Support team (connect-support@trimble.com) so that our team can investigate.  Steps to get HAR files can be found here

    Hi All, 

    Would you please also help me, we have a project starting in 2 weeks, and I urgently need to fix the following issue. Can anyone help me?

    I have dragged and dropped the IFC 3D model file in to Trimble for viewing on tablet so that our carpentry team can easily view the work to do, however, when I try to upload and "CONVERT" the IFC model file in to Trimble Connect project, it says "Conversion Failed", and
    Assimilation Progress

    Error processing data for Viewer. Please contact support.

    I need to know what I can do to upload it correctly to web browser so that myself and other team members can view it?
    I have tried on different web browsers also,  Microsoft edge, Safari, Brave... etc, nothing is working, and time is running out!

    Any guidance would be appreciated? Thank you

    The issue reported by you isn't related to the main issue in the original post. Going forward , we would request you to post in a separate thread, so that the discussion is relevant to the main heading in the post. 

    With regards to the issue you are facing, could you please send the project name , region details to our Support team (connect-support@trimble.com) so that our team can investigate. 
    Also, if its ok , could you please send us the file so that we can try the same from our end (for testing purposes only) .
