Is WorksManager based on the Connected Community? WorksManager currently uses TCC in the background. WorksManager will replace TCC in time.
Is there a plan to introduce a file explorer tool for WorksManager, similar to TCC Explorer? No, there is no plan to create a TCC explorer-like tool.
What are the features available in WorksManager that are not in TCC?
a. A geofence-based workflow - view device on a map, auto add device to project when it enters project boundary, and pull in project designs
b. A device status whether my devices are running the latest designs and firmware versions. Devices are highlighted when there is a conflict.
c. Configuration settings at the project level e.g. cal, avoidance zone minimizes manual errors at the individual device/ design level.
For now, WorksManager utilizes TCC in the background. WorksManager will replace TCC in time.
Can WorksManager operate if you are not a Connected Community member? WorksManager uses TCC behind the scenes. When you purchase a WorksManager bundle, if you don't have an existing TCC account, one will be created for you.
