Hi Dave,
Distance ranged from 70 - 150'. Luckily, the platform from which we scan bears is elevated and gated off from intrusion. The scanner - a TX8 - if given enough immobilzed time to pass over the bear resulted in 12,000 ti 35,000 points/bear. Found it an interesting use of scanners and some interest in the wildlife community as of late.
