TBC Community Forum Decorum

The TBC Community is for customers and end users to collaborate, teach, learn, and encourage one another with new and exciting workflows within TBC. The TBC Community is a professional space and contributors are required to maintain a constructive tone. Any intolerance, personal insults, and negative comments will be flagged and removed with all perpetrators being removed from the group without warning.

If there are TBC bugs or issues that need to be addressed, please first reach out to your local Trimble Authorized Dealer or communicate with a Trimble representative in a private message. 

Thank you for your understanding and support as we all build the TBC Community into a productive environment to learn and contribute to improving TBC’s survey and construction workflows.

  • TBC Input & Expertise Requested

    Happy New Year TBC'ers!

    Hope you all had a festive holiday season. The TBC Team has been conducting a competitive analysis project in assessing our product against similar market solutions over the last several months.

    As we conclude this project, we would like to request additional input, feedback and expertise from end-users like yourselves in assessing the qualitative aspects of TBC.

    Besides TBC, are you familiar with either of the following?

  • Trimble Connect Regions - Scheduled Maintenance Break

  • TBC Version 5.81

    Hi TBC Community!

    On behalf of the TBC Product and Engineering teams, I'm happy to announce that TBC version 5.81 is now available to download here or by selecting Support > Check for Updates within TBC.

    This minor release includes new features such as the International GNSS Service (IGS) adoption of IGS20 reference frame to support precise orbits, support for DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise (M3E) Series UAS, and inclusion of GPS exif attributes for mobile mapping image exports.

    In addition, TBC v5.81 includes bug fixes such as supporting the Trimble Access 2022.10 JXL and IFC properties in JOB files; importing and printing PDF plan sets, CAD grips and snaps; and correcting the subscription license failure when performing photogrammetry processing; and more.

  • TBC v5.80 Now Available

    Hi all,

    On behalf of the TBC Product and Engineering teams, it is my pleasure to announce that TBC v5.80 is available for download today! This update was engineered with our commitment towards connectivity, simplicity and efficiency in mind. You can download v5.80 for Geospatial here, at Civil Construction Downloads, or using TBC's Check for Updates routine within the software.


    Some exciting features and highlights are listed here:

    • Scanning & Point Cloud Trimble X12 hardware support, shape-based feature extraction, manhole cover feature extraction, and the ability to select faces of multiple objects for 3D scan inspections.
    • Aerial Photogrammetry DJI M300 P1 trajectory post-processing and Wingtra drag + drop import.
    • CAD Select objects by layer group and update SketchUp import + export libraries.
    • Coordinate Systems Middle East country EGM2008 geoids, EPSG ID enhancements for Switzerland, ITRF2020 + successive realizations of WGS84 + IGS & RTX systems, and coordinate system database interoperability improvements.
    • Data Exchange & Prep Tag or rename imported files, Quadri Connector commands tab, RINEX v4.00 support, SX12-SiteWorks support and the ability to create a global vertical design.
    • GIS Support Trimble Access’ rectangular feature code controls.
    • Monitoring Customize display colors for displacement vectors and 1D, 2D, or 3D displacement values supported in reports.
    • Mobile Mapping POSPac MMS licensed features included in TBC Mobile Mapping subscription license option, position fix (PFIX) enhancements, process raw trajectory enhancements, and distance-splitting LAS exporter.
    • Survey + COGO Create COGO collections from existing linework, create nested COGO parcels, custom reference start points, streamlined linework creation, format + edit parcel names, WMS background maps and GVX file exporter (NGS).
    • Tunneling — Volume property added for design + as-built mesh, ability to create CAD cross-section diagrams, specifying arc direction in shapes and adding pipe set outs for designs.
