Trimble Business Center – Version 2024.12

Important Note! This version of Trimble Business Center is available to users whose current warranty expiration date (perpetual license users) is November 1, 2024 or later. If your warranty expires prior to this date and you proceed with the installation, licensed features will not be available. You can contact your distributor to purchase a warranty extension or renew your subscription. In the TBC ribbon, select Support > License Manager to verify your warranty or subscription expiration date. All current TBC subscription licenses are entitled to the program.

These enhancements and fixes for listed bugs are included in this patch:

  • Auto-save picked targets in run or mission registration - If you close the Register a Run or Register a Misson command without applying the changes, or if you close TBC, TBC automatically saves the targets you picked to match with the Ground Control Points (GCPs). When you reopen the tools, TBC prompts you to automatically reload the picked targets, making the process more efficient and saving time.
  • Reduce the bundle adjustment of targets with the local method in run or mission registration - In the Register a Run or Register a Mission feature, the method for locally adjusting a trajectory by interpolating between the Ground Control Points (GCPs) has been improved with an option to reduce the bundle adjustment of targets:
    • When the option is checked, the bundle adjustment of targets will be performed at acquisition intervals of 250 meters. This setting is suitable when there are few GCPS, the accuracy of the GCPs is moderate, and the precision in target picking is less stringent.
    • When the option is unchecked, the bundle adjustment of targets will be performed at acquisition intervals of 70 meters. This setting is ideal when there are more GCPs available, the accuracy ofthe GCPs is high, and precise target picking is necessary.
  • GNSS EXIF information added to planar images in TMX and TopoDot exports - TBC now exports side and back-facing images with embedded GNSS EXIF information to Trimble TMX format or to TopoDot format. The GNSS EXIF information typically includes:
    • Latitude and longitude coordinates
    • Altitude
    • GNSS timestamp
    • GNSS accuracy

This information helps in accurately locating where the image was taken, which is particularly useful in geospatial and surveying projects.

  • Specify the linework type in a Feature Definition for Trimble Access - TBC now supports two different workflows for the way linework is created and codes are stored in Trimble Access. When creating a feature code library in TBC or the Feature Definition Manager, the new Store polylines with codes on lines setting enables you to select from these options:
    • No (default) - Create feature-coded linework with codes on points.
    • Yes - Store polylines with codes on lines.

You can change this option in the Feature Definition Manager or the Project Explorer in TBC.

  • Export WorksManager design files - You can now use a WorksManager Design Exporter to either export a WorksManager design file (.vcl) locally or upload it directly to Trimble Connect in a simple way that bypasses TBC's multi-step WorksManager workflow. This exporter allows you to create designs for Trimble field apps that include: SCS900, Siteworks, GCS900, Earthworks, PCS900, Roadworks, DPS900, and Groundworks, even if you do not have a WorksManager license. The output file matches what the TBC WorksManager Design Manager Publish command creates (with Cleanup VCL file project setting set to Yes), which eliminates all but the required object dependencies needed to create the various design file types required by the field apps.
  • Updated Coordinate System Database - The newest Coordinate System Database v112 includes the following enhancements:
    • Added the latest geoid model "GSI Geoid 2024" for Japan
    • Updated the displacement model for Japanese datum JGD2011 to the 2025 version
  • Riegl RIMTA library update - The Riegl RIMTA library has been updated to version 6.7.0.
  • Trajectory processing with LiDAR QC - The incorrect datum used for trajectories when processing them with the LiDAR QC option enabled has been fixed.
  • Generating PFIX files during a day change - Generating a PFIX file when the mission was captured during a day change has been fixed.
  • Quadri Connector for TBC - The connector and related commands on the Quadri ribbon tab have been fixed. You can now exchange data with Quadri again.
  • Importing pipe set-outs in languages other than English - Importing tunnel pipe set-outs as CSV files has been fixed.
  • Images in Trimble Reality Capture Platform Service- Distorted images in TRCPS (Trimble RealityCapture Platform Service) after publishing data from TBC has been fixed.
  • Exporting X9 station panoramas to KML - Blurred panoramic images when exporting X9 data to KML has been fixed.
  • CSRS Velocity Grid V8.0 - CSRS Velocity Grid V8.0 was not available East of W66. This has been fixed.
  • Updated LiDAR QC tool - The LiDAR QC tool now supports the MX9 and MX90 mobile mapping systems.
