This includes TCC user interface, TCC Legacy interface, TCC Explorer, TBC Office Synchronizer, and TCC FTP/ HTTP api access. Alternate features including File Explorer - Folder Operations (Upload, Download, Move, Copy, Delete), and IBSS 3rd party sharing have been already released in Trimble WorksManager. WorksManager incorrectly generating the SMZ file

The issue appears to be that the smz file, which should be a zipped .svl file, is being written by WorksManager without the necessary .svl file extension for the contained file. This is preventing Earthworks machines from loading the site map correctly. This issue is fixed. But for the existing files, the user should upload a new SVL file.

We are enhancing the security for Trimble WorksManager . Starting March 2, 2026, we are turning on the Two-Step Verification . This means when you sign in with your email and password, you will also need to enter a verification code sent to your email to complete the process. What Will Happen? Overview The Trimble Internet Base Station Service (IBSS) is being moved to a new technology stack — IBSS v2 . This shift will decouple IBSS from outdated cloud infrastructure and make the service more reliable and scalable. Furthermore, this upgrade uses common infrastructure with the Geospatial IBSS. We presume you liked the file explorer feature we released for the Siteworks, and Groundworks. We are happy to inform you that we are extending the feature to Earthworks as well. Now, w hen you select any E arthworks device from Account > Devices page , t he workflow starts with the ' Machine Data' folder . T his mimics the TCC file/ folder structure . Background : Today, in WorksManager, you can archive/unarchive designs & design versions manually anytime. In addition, the system auto-archives when there are more than 3 design versions, retaining the last three versions and archiving the rest. However, there have been requests to be able to auto-archive all older versions and retain just the latest version.
