Measuring distance in Cross Section View

Goodmorning, i am relatively new to TBC and just trying to figure out if its possible to measure in cross section view? it lets me measure but it does not snap to the surface lines i want. Please see attached photo. Im just trying to spot check some cross sections

Have yo enabled Surface/Mesh in the Snap-Settings?

i do now, and it appears it is snapping the measurement but its not showing the snap box so i just dont have any confidence that is is correct

If you right click while in measure mode, you can select, "Line", "End" or "Middle of Segment" and it will display the snaps while you're measuring in the surface slicer cross section view.
