Hi All,

One of our team members is having the following error message when trying to export design data from Trimble Business Centre (please refer to the attached images)

"A Problem Occurred generating the file using the CToolbox utility" 



any sort of assistance or guidance would be amazing.

Are all the coordinate system settings in that TBC project correct? All necessary geoid files present on this computer.
If it only happens on one computer then make sure the content of "C:\ProgramData\Trimble\GeoData" is the same.

Is the configuration toolbox actually installed? Use Windows Key + S to open the search and type "ct", it then should find the configuration toolbox. (or check the path "C:\Program Files (x86)\Trimble\Configuration Toolbox"

Hi and thanks for that Ronny,

from what i can see CToolbox was installed but i think its not installed properly, I've uninstalled it and tried and re-install and the following error messages pops up, any ideas?

Could you upload the project file here?
What's the coordinate system you are using?
I don't really see why TBC is actually utilizing the old CToolbox. Your screenshot shows that the MS990 compatibility is set to NO.

On my computer it only uses the CToolbox when MS990 is set to yes, because it needs to create a Geoid Subgrid that is stored in the .CFG file.



One other thing you can try is to use the Trimble Office Cleanup Utility from here, near the bottom of the page, even if it says 5.30 it'll work with newer versions:

Uninstall and cleanup all settings that have anything to do with TBC, CToolbox, coordinate system database.
And re-install TBC, that will bring the other things back as well.

Hi Roni

Did you ever get to the bottom of this problem?  I am having exactly the same issue.  It used to work fine now it comes up with the same error.  I even get the failed to save document error when I try reinstalling the Configuration Toolbox.  It doesnt matter which project I am using, local grid or not, and I have tried MS990 compatability on Yes and No.  I ran the cleanup tool and then reinstalled everything and that made no difference.
