What is the "s" in Point Derivation Report?

  • 1.  What is the "s" in Point Derivation Report?

    Can someone please tell me what the "s" refers to in the Point Derivation Report? It is listed right below the mean. I thought it was the precision levels for the northing and easting, but it does not change when I change between 1 sigma, 95% and 99% confidence level display.

    Hi Timothy,

    The "s" is supposed to be sigma, as the DX/DY/DZ should be deltaX/deltaY/deltaZ. 

    I feel it's related to the fonts supported in your web browser or PC.

    Thanks, that makes sense. I use Firefox so it must not be "translating" the symbol correctly.
