How do I get node 11, to go to the right side of node 3? It always keeps going to the left because its on the left side of the master alignment.

Sometimes when you want an element such as this to go the other way to the way it is expecting to go (Right side of HAL goes to the Right), (Left Side of HAL goes to the Left), you have to insert an extra node just before the one you are creating that is e.g. Offset / Elevation type and enter ts offset as +.01 or +.001 and Elevation Delta 0 (that sets a series of elements off in the other direction and then you can add your node 11 then you can do your Slope Elevation with a negative slope and a delta elevation as shown below here

Let me know if this works for you - I have an enhancement request in the system to be able to set a direction flag override on an instruction to make this easier and more obvious (Inward / Outward)

Is there an easy way to make this happen on today's version?

Specifically on using the Slope/Elevation instruction.

Trying to get the Toe Lt to project to the right side of the Bank Lt node on a certain delta elevation.

If you want to reverse the direction of an instruction, create a short

offset elevation instruction before the one you are trying to create that

goes the direction you want to go in ie Offset -0.01, Elevation 0 as the

prior node determines the direction of the slope. When you have a Slope

Elevation command it has no direction other than Up or Down so the prior

node dictates the direction - if the prior node is going Right then the

slope goes right,if the prior node goes left then the slope goes left etc.

The prior node can be an Offset Elevation or an Offset Slope instruction if

you are concerned about a 0 elev diff over 0.01' distance.

That technique did worked. 

One extra note on this - the previous node has to be connected with a surface element in order for this work around to function i.e. the -.01 offset and DZ of 0 has to be added to a surface layer - at worst create a dummy one you dont care about and put it on there, otherwise if you do not tag a material layer, it is not used to determine the direction for the next instruction.
