Some feature requests

    Hi

I miss in menu "devide lines" - for devide by number of separated objects .... where I could set e.g. 5 parts same lenght as it is now or 5 parts each diffrent lengh, there could be fields for the setting the lenghts.

Next issue in this menu is that it work/separates the selected segment immediately after selecting without pushing apply button and I must use get back step to correct.

I miss in "offset line" menu possibility for offseting two lines both directions, not only left or right. It could be handy.

    Lubos

We have a TML called Divide Line by Slope Distance that allows you to enter a table of offsets that you want to apply to a line for eg a Building Grid Layout that does any number of offsets - on a 3D line that is horizontal the slope = horizontal distance. If you want to trial the RPS Command Library I can set you up with a 1 week trial - you will need to

    1. Create a Trimble ID for yourself if you do not have one (go to www.Connect.Trimble.com and select sign in and from there select Create a New Trimble ID and follow the steps to create an ID)
    2. In TBC go to Support, Options and then External Services - Profiles and Create a new Service using the Trimble Identity service and then Sign In using your Trimble ID
    3. Download the TMLStatus command from the www,RockpileSolutions.com website (home page - blue text) and then run the TMLStatus command in TBC after a restart to sign up - you can use F12 (Command Pane) and then type TMLStatus the first time before you get the RPS Menus installed. First time you run TMLStatus it will ask you for your details and you have to read the Terms of Service and Privacy statement documents before you get to TMLStatus itself - that sets you up on our system as a TBC User - we can then assign you a license trial etc
    4. Select all the TML Commands presented and Update TMLs - this will install all the commands and set up your RPS Menus etc. in TBC
    5. Restart TBC - you will now have 3 menus with an Orange R in front of them (Data Prep, Modeling, Tool Shed) when you get to this point email me so I can assign you a test license for 7 days to try out our tools. (alan.sharp@rockpilesolutions.com).

There is a divide line command that divides a line into equal parts only in standard TBC

Offsetting lines in both directions - you can use the sideslope command to do that if you have several lines - you can build templates for common offset combinations eg for Curb and Gutter and Sidewalk sequences around parking areas or for roads etc.

I am not sure I understand the point that you make on "Next Issue in this menu ..." can you explain

    Thank you Alan.

How much costs to use TML?

"Next Issue in this menu ..."  means that for the segment deviding is processed in the moment the segment is selected, but the line dividing is processed after pusching the "apply" button as you can see in the video.... I think the dividing should be just shown for correcting settings and processed after pusching the "aplly" button....

The pricing for all of the TML packages (annual subscriptions) are listed here at the following link

The Divide Lines by slope distance command is in the Dat prep Toolbox that costs $295/year to license.

There is a video of it in use - click the link to download the video

I have raised this in the past and I tend to agree with you - selecting a line and having it automatically create the dividing points rather than selecting the line and pressing apply to execute is not 100% the way other things work, however I guess if you have to divide 10 lines in the same way then it reduces the number of key strokes / clicks by 50% because you can just click each line and it is done.

I also feel that this type of command can also benefit from a Preview - so you can see the result before committing it.

The thinking from the development team is that if it did not do what you wanted then you can always undo it.

But I do agree with you on this one.

ok...so I need $295/year to devide a line into parts that is not equal?....

and I need  to build templates for abbility to offset a line/lines both directions in one step? .. (i havent find the sideslope command)

its a pitty... there is a local geo-software here that is not in that hight level as TBC is at all and it can do it just by clicking the checkbox

Can the "both-sides-offset" feature added into TBC into offset menu, couse it seems to me as simplier way of use than another command or making templates?

As well as I would appreciate setting of color for styles in draughting (text, line, arrows for dimensions and so on).
Next useful thing would be preview concurrently with changing setting the styles and so on and applying after pushing the OK button. I worked with Abdobe Indesign (typhographic software) and there you can see you changings while you are setting a style and it is just a preview.

It is not comfortable to open the manager, change setting, press ok again a again till find the suitable size, font and so on.
